Merchant Services offers three different categories of credit card processing.
1) Retail Merchant Account: This is a business that would be able to swipe a customers card through a credit card machine where the magnetic strip on the back of the card is electronically read for processing and approval.
2) Mail Order Telephone Order Merchant Account: Often referred to as a MOTO account, this type of credit card processing occurs when a customer is not present at the time of purchase. The order is either called in via telephone or a faxed invoice.
3) Internet Merchant Account: This type of credit card processing service is always used with a Internet Gateway or Payment Gateway. The Payment Gateway offered by MSI is Authorize.net.
